What has been your biggest obstacle in maintaining your own regular dental care? I’ve had a few traumatic dental experiences that have left me very anxious about going to the dentist so much so that when I came in for my first time to Hume Street Dental Care, I was shaking uncontrollably. I’ve always had a hard time trusting dentists and I really have to build up a good comfort level before going ahead with treatment. I’ve also always had a hard time with freezing taking effect. What has your experience been like at Hume Street Dental Care? From the very beginning, everyone has been very understanding about my anxiety and has taken special care to inform me of everything that’s going on and my treatment options. As mentioned, the first time I came in, I was shaking, but by the end of the appointment, I felt at ease because of the friendly staff and personalized care. During IV sedation, I felt very comfortable with Dr. Shafiei, his assistant Stephanie, and the nurse. I only remember small bits and pieces of my surgery but there was nothing unpleasant. I went home afterwards and slept. All went smoothly even though my case was complicated and required specialty care. What is your comfort level now with coming in to see us on a scale of 1 to 10? It’s a 10, and my whole family wants to become patients at your practice due to my great experience! – Anonymous patient
